Liquid bulk is a specialist discipline: moving large volumes of liquid safely, cleanly and in full compliance with the rules that govern each product. Whether it is a tank of industrial chemical, a flexitank of edible oil or a parcel of base oil, the cargo has to travel in the right equipment, with the right paperwork, and with the handling its hazard class and grade demand. World Zone arranges liquid bulk shipments from Dubai and the wider GCC, coordinated end to end through our own offices and global agency network.
What liquid bulk means
Liquid bulk cargo is liquid carried in bulk rather than in small packaged units like drums or bottles. The three common modes are the ISO tank container — a robust, reusable stainless-steel tank in a standard container frame, ideal for chemicals and hazardous liquids; the flexitank — a large bladder fitted inside an ordinary container, a cost-effective choice for non-hazardous liquids such as edible oils; and the tanker for larger parcels. Choosing the right mode for the product and volume is the first and most important decision, and it is where we add value.
What we move
Typical liquid bulk cargo we handle
- Chemicals — industrial and specialty chemicals, including hazardous grades
- Edible oils — cooking and food-grade oils, typically by flexitank
- Base & lubricant oils — base oils and finished lubricants in bulk
- Food-grade liquids — where cleanliness and compatibility are critical
- Hazardous liquids — handled under IMDG / ADR with correct tanks and paperwork
Safety, cleanliness and compliance
Liquid bulk lives and dies by compliance and cargo care. For hazardous products we manage the IMDG / ADR documentation and the correct tank selection for the hazard class. For every product, tank cleanliness and product compatibility are checked so the previous cargo never contaminates the next, and food-grade movements are handled to the standard they require. The result is cargo that arrives exactly as it left — and a shipment that clears every regulatory checkpoint without a hitch.
Why shippers choose World Zone for liquid bulk
Our advantage is end-to-end accountability. With our own offices across the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and India and a global agency network, the loading, the sailing and the clearance at destination are coordinated inside one company — and two decades of experience means we recommend the mode, route and equipment that are genuinely most cost-effective and compliant for your product, not just the easiest to book.
